Typical concrete anchors tend to loosen when subjected to vibrations caused by excessive wind or volcanic eruption. Failures caused by vibrations are therefore not unusual.

The Hurricane Screwbolt works in the exact opposite way. Vibrations strengthen the embedment of the screwbolt rather than making it weaker.

Cyclic testing completed by the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London, England, shows that both the M10 and M12 fixings give a higher static failure load after cyclic loading. In fact the improvement ranged from 7% to 34% over non-cyclic testing. When you add this improvement to the already far superior holding power of the screwbolt, you can only conclude that the Hurricane Screwbolt is IMPRESSIVE.

This product is available in a range of sizes and is coated with a DORRLTECH finish which has a salt spray performance per ASTM B-117: of 1000 hours minimum.
